Happy New Year! Better late than never with a blog from last Nov!
last November I attended MCM Birmingham Comic Con; another one of my favourite events! This year I was joined by my wonderful fiance Rob :D
We travelled down stupidly early before the show opened so I could set up my table. I decided to casually cosplay that day so I travelled down in most of my Mei outfit hahaa!
After a faff with registering, I met up with my table buddy Liz and we proceeded to setup. This year I couldn't get a full table so I opted to share. I was amazed I managed to get a full tables worth of stock onto half a table. It was a scary and procarious stand, but it worked!
Had new original work and new prints too! Sombra was an event exclusive and I am happy to say she was a sell out!
Had such a busy Saturday and it was great to have a table buddy. Liz and her mates, as well as Rob, were amazing company and the day flew by. We met lots of awesome cosplayers, seriously the calibre at Birmingham was top notch!
After a busy saturday it was time to unwind. We were a short walk over the road in the Hilton and boy, was I thankful for paying that bit extra. Great Food, nice cocktails and a cheeky swim made the standing on my feet for 10 hours worth it :P
Sunday - time to Cosplay!
Sunday we both decided to fully cosplay. I already had everything set up so all I had to do was show up. I've got to be honest, while I enjoy wearing my full Mei cosplay, trying to sell in such a big coat proved a chore. Never the less we met some great Overwatch cosplayers and had an absolute blast!
Overall it was a fantastic weekend. Birmingham is definitely one of my favourite events and cosplaying on the sunday made it even better! I did well for sales and made some great new friends. We'll definitely be back next year :D and lets not forget a swag pic
First event of 2017 - MCM Liverpool Comic Con
Yes! hoping to book a Comic Village table for Liverpool very soon. It was a good first show last year and I'm eager to try it out again. If you're in the area be sure to stop by my stand and who knows, maybe I'll even cosplay again.
